Through media engagement, public campaigns, protests, exhibitions, and conferences, we raise awareness of executions, imprisonment, torture, and the silencing of dissent, while contributing to growing international pressure for accountability and human rights in Iran.
By working with journalists, policymakers, activists, legal experts, and diaspora communities, AWYAF seeks to ensure that the realities faced by the Iranian people are neither ignored nor forgotten. Media
AWYAF works with journalists, independent media platforms, and public advocacy networks to expose realities in Iran that are often hidden from public view. Through articles, interviews, publications, and awareness campaigns, we seek to provide accurate information and perspectives that are frequently overlooked or underrepresented in mainstream media coverage.
By amplifying the voices of victims, political prisoners, activists, and ordinary Iranian citizens, we aim to ensure that ongoing human rights violations, including executions, imprisonment, censorship, and repression, continue to receive international attention and public scrutiny.
Human Rights Campaign
AWYAF coordinates human rights campaigns, petitions, and public awareness initiatives aimed at raising international concern over ongoing human rights violations in Iran. By engaging with Members of Parliament, policymakers, activists, and advocacy groups, we work to ensure that issues such as executions, political imprisonment, torture, and repression remain visible within public and political discourse.
AWYAF also works alongside international human rights bodies and organisations, including Amnesty International and United Nations mechanisms, to help document and expose abuses taking place inside Iran. As many international organisations do not have direct access to the country, independent testimony and documentation remain critically important. Through witness accounts, case files, dossiers, testimonies, and evidence gathered from victims, families, and survivors, AWYAF seeks to support international awareness, accountability efforts, and continued pressure on the Iranian regime to halt executions and human rights violations.
Rallies / Exhibitions
AWYAF organises protests, rallies, and exhibitions to raise public awareness about both historical and ongoing human rights violations in Iran, including arbitrary arrests, political imprisonment, torture, and executions. Through public demonstrations and awareness events, we seek to ensure that the experiences of victims, prisoners of conscience, and those resisting repression are not forgotten.
We regularly hold rallies and demonstrations in prominent public spaces, including Downing Street and Trafalgar Square, alongside exhibitions and awareness displays in locations such as Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, and Marble Arch. These events aim to highlight the history of popular uprisings in Iran, amplify the voices of those demanding freedom and justice, and expose the brutality and repression carried out by the Iranian regime.
Conferences
AWYAF organises and participates in conferences and public discussions in the United Kingdom and internationally, bringing together lawmakers, human rights experts, activists, legal professionals, and diaspora communities to discuss justice, accountability, and viable solutions for victims of human rights abuses committed by the Iranian regime.
These conferences are often held in connection with significant occasions and commemorations, including Nowruz, International Human Rights Day, International Women’s Day, and anniversaries of major uprisings and protests in Iran over the years. Discussions frequently focus on issues such as accountability for the 1988 prison massacre, support for political prisoners and victims of repression, and international responses to executions.
