On June 13, a British parliamentary conference took place at the House of Lords. During this session, a joint statement was issued, garnering support from 525 members of Parliament, including peers from all political parties in the UK. The statement expressed solidarity with the Iranian people’s uprising and endorsed Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan for establishing a democratic republic based on the separation of religion and state.
The signatories of the joint statement include over 50 former ministers and deputy ministers from both Conservative and Labour cabinets. Notably, 15 bishops from the House of Lords, including three former Archbishops of Canterbury and Wales, have also lent their support.
14th December 2022 - The BCFIF released a statement signed by 230 cross-party MPs calling for the UK government to show support for the Iranian people's popular uprising and to take actions to see that the regime faces justice for its crimes against humanity. 
Wednesday 18th January - On January 12, the United Kingdom’s House of Commons held a parliamentary debate on the current situation in Iran, discussing policy options in dealing with the clerical regime and supporting the nationwide uprising, which has persisted for the last four months. 
24th November 2022 - Cross-party MPs and Peers held a meeting to discuss discussed possible steps by the UK to support the popular uprising led by women in Iran. 
4th November 2022 - People in Iran have used the 40-day memorials of those killed in protests, as an opportunity to gather in large numbers and stage protests against the regime.
