On June 13, a British parliamentary conference took place at the House of Lords. During this session, a joint statement was issued, garnering support from 525 members of Parliament, including peers from all political parties in the UK. The statement expressed solidarity with the Iranian people’s uprising and endorsed Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan for establishing a democratic republic based on the separation of religion and state.

The signatories of the joint statement include over 50 former ministers and deputy ministers from both Conservative and Labour cabinets. Notably, 15 bishops from the House of Lords, including three former Archbishops of Canterbury and Wales, have also lent their support.

29th March 2023 - on Monday 20th March, thousands of Iranians held a large rally and demonstration in Brussels, simultaneous with the upcoming meeting of the E.U. Foreign Affairs Council. The protesters demanded the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, as it has been the main apparatus used by the Iranian regime to suppress nationwide protests. Many participants carried the Iranian flag with the lion and sun insignia while chanting, “Blacklist IRGC now!” and urged the E.U. to adopt a decisive policy against the clerical regime’s terrorism, blackmail, and hostage-taking.

29th March 2023 - In a 20-page report to UN Human Rights Council, Javaid Rehman, the Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran, detailed a series of human rights violation which have taken place in Iran since 16th September 2022 when Mahsa (Jina) Amini was killed by IRGC forces. 

7th March 2023 - In a series of attacks, the regime has been making girls' schools across Iran the targets of Gas attacks. What started in November 2022, has now turned into frequent, almost daily, attacks on young girls. 

There are reports of hundreds of schools being targeted and several hundred, if not thousands, of students being hospitalized for poisoning symptoms and suffocation symptoms.

Anti-regime dissent and protests are on the rise as parents and the general public are outraged at the barbaric nature of such horrific attacks targeting the country’s children. The regime’s contradictory reports and state media denying the entire issue by placing the blame on bogus reasons are only fuelling the nationwide rage. Regime officials are concerned about this rising anger boiling into nationwide protests that may evolve into an uncontrollable phenomenon.
