22 June 2021 - Retirees and pensioners of the Social Security Organization returned to the streets in protest against the government’s destructive polices and lack of response to their outstanding demands regarding low wages and pensions, insurance issues, and poor living conditions. Protests were reported in Tehran, Ahvaz, Dorud, Kermanshah, Shush, and other cities.

Social Security Organization retirees and pensioners throughout Iran held protests rallies for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, June 7, demanding higher wages and pensions, insurance issues to be resolved, and improved living conditions. June 8th 2022 - Daily protests have been taking place over the last 2 weeks in the city of Abadan, Khuzestan province, and across Iran, after the ten-story Metropole building collapsed due to the regime officials’ plundering and corruption. This resulted in at least 36 killed and dozens injured due to the regime’s inaction in saving the lives of the people under the rubble. The State Security Forces (SSF) and the Special Units sought to prevent people from gathering by opening fire at them and firing tear gas, but the rebellious youth repelled them and continued their protests.
