4th November 2022 - People in Iran have used the 40-day memorials of those killed in protests, as an opportunity to gather in large numbers and stage protests against the regime.
The people of Isfahan gathered in Bagh-e Rezvan Cemetery to commemorate Shirin Alizadeh on the 40th day after her death.
The 35-year-old mother of a 7-year-old child, Shirin Alizadeh was shot in the face when filming the repressive forces from a passing car. Her family was told to keep silent if they wanted to receive her body.
Isfahan also saw additional gatherings of disgruntled citizens in Charbagh district of the provincial capital and in Shahinshahr, where protesters gathered to commemorate another young soul fallen for freedom, Mohammad Hossein Torkaman, on his 40th day.
