13/10/2021 - A press conference was held in Glasgow in the run-up to COP26 due to begin in November. This Press conference called for the arrest of Ebrahim Raisi under international law, should he attend the conference in Scotland.

It was in connection with the formal letter of complaint written and signed by family members of the victims of the massacre, as well as former MEP Struan Stevenson, and handed to Police Scotland who said since said they will review it.

The participants in this conference were Mr Hossein Abedini, Dr Tahar Boumedra, and Mr Struan Stevenson. Joining them were 3 of the people who signed the complaint letter to Police Scotland, Mr Ahmad Ebrahimi and Mr Reza Fallahi who were former political prisoners, and Mrs. Farzaneh Majidi, some of her family members were executed by the regime during the massacre.

Mr Stevenson, explained the reasoning behind the complaint letter that was written, saying that, "It was not done with the sole objective of stopping Raisi coming to COP26. We will hunt this man down in any country in the world that he dares to set foot in. There can be no impunity for crimes against humanity, of this magnitude."

Dr Tahar Boumedra who also attended the press conference said, "besides the complaint made here in Scotland, on the 2nd July 2021, we filed the first complaint with the Metropolitan Police in London. We did that after compiling the evidence and we did it believing that justice delayed, is justice denied. the other thing is that crimes against humanity, crimes of genocide, crimes of war, are imprescriptable. No matter how long it takes, the perpetrators will remain wanted by the justice and this is the case for Ebrahim Raisi."
