On 6 September 2025, tens of thousands gathered in Brussels to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The event brought together members of the Iranian community from across Europe and North America, joined by international lawmakers, human rights advocates, and public figures. The rally called for an end to executions, the release of political prisoners, and urgent global action to uphold fundamental freedoms in Iran.

On 16 September 2025, British parliamentarians, peers, legal experts, and members of the Anglo-Iranian community gathered at Westminster to mark the 3rd anniversary of Iran’s 2022 nationwide uprising. The event, hosted by cross-party MPs, reaffirmed support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for a free, democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic. Attendees paid tribute to the thousands killed during the protests and to the ongoing courage of political prisoners inside Iran.

29th May 2024 - The United Nations has announced it plans to hold a memorial service on the occasion of the death of Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Iranian regime. Dennis Francis, President of the UN General Assembly wrote a letter to Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General, requesting that a memorial be held to "pay tribute to the memory of the late President of the Islamic Republic of Iran", on 30th May at the General Assembly Hall in New York.

This comes as a number of members of both the UN and the EU Parliament have sent messages of condolences following the death of Raisi and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who was the Foreign Affairs Minister of the regime. At the same time, many more representatives have taken to social media with #NotInMyName to show their stance against these condolences.
